Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella was born as a Dominican friars’ convent in Florence, Italy in 1221. Since then, we select nature’s finest ingredients to give life to authentic, beauty-seeking routines for the home and the body.
Come to any of our stores or shop online our newest Eau de Parfums, Eau de Colognes, soaps, candles and skincare and bath products. The historical location, of Via Della Scala 16, Florence and also the very first operational site for the Maison, it is today a boutique museum where history brings alive the magic with care, savoir-faire, elegance and we are committed to preserve, and evolve, a heritage like no other.

I was a regular at the Place Bauveau store, and I was delighted to find a Santa Maria Novella store on the right bank to complete my Christmas shopping and replenish my personal reserves (the Bon Marché corner is not always very welcoming...). The store is very beautiful, as always, and the welcome from the staff, and Bastien in particular, was very friendly. Always a lovely moment, in the delicate scents of the Officina.

One of my most favorite ships in Paris. The quality and range of the products is outstanding as well as the knowledgeable and exceptionally helpful, friendly sales associates. We live nearby and walk by often, Mariano, Daniele and everyone always smiles and waves to us when we pass by. That little friendly touch (even when not inside shopping, just simply passing by), gives a sense of a warm community shop rather than other retail experiences. It is the absolute perfect place to find a quick gift that is unique and always beautifully wrapped. SMN of course has amazing fragrances but it’s so much more than that. The lesser known part of the SMN line are my favorite things: the BEST dog care line, home care (anti moth spay that actually smells good), beautiful Rose Water that I’ve used for years and Miele hair conditioner that saved my hair (and they have the best deodorant). SMN has existed since 1221and it’s still considered a hidden gem, it’s simply magic.
