The museum is ok, but not worth the price.

My partner and I wanted to go in and I must say that it did not disappoint our expectations. The environment was very well-kept in every detail, the beauty of the historic building, we were served by Cristina, she was very kind and patient especially guiding us in the olfactory experience and empathizing with us.

It looks like a museum-like fragrance shop

A beautiful place to visit, and admission is free. A gorgeous, romantic spot with a mesmerizing scent. Treat yourself to the wonderful perfumes, and if you get the chance, buy one.

Superlative place not to be missed if visiting Florence! Entrance is free and in addition to being able to test perfumes and cosmetics you can visit the rooms of an ancient pharmacy which also include a completely frescoed room and windows overlooking the cloister of the Santa Maria Novella complex. Highly recommended

Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella is one of Florence’s most unique and historic shopping destinations. Established in the 12th century by Dominican monks, it originally served as an apothecary, producing medicinal remedies using botanicals from its own gardens. While the days of monastic medicine are long gone, the pharmacy remains renowned for its exquisite fragrances and skincare products. One of its most famous creations is Acqua della Regina, a perfume originally crafted for Catherine de’ Medici, Queen of France, and one of the pharmacy’s most esteemed patrons. This historic fragrance, still available today, carries a legacy spanning over 800 years. Located in its original premises, the pharmacy is a sensory experience from the moment you step inside. The entrance is adorned with an array of flowers, filling the air with the natural aroma of herbs drying from the ceiling. The interior, decorated in rich Renaissance-style colors and adorned with grand paintings, transports visitors to another era. The welcoming staff is eager to assist in selecting a unique souvenir or gift. While antiques aren’t for sale, the shop offers a selection of high-quality perfumes, skincare, and herbal products. If you’re looking for something truly special, a bottle of Acqua della Regina is a remarkable choice—after all, where else can you find a fragrance crafted for a queen and perfected over centuries?
